Black Dot, LLC is a multi-media service company based in Los Angeles, California.  Our divisions provide the following services: Marketing, Production and Cause Marketing. We are also involved in the development of digital strategies and facilities for various public and private organizations.

Pat Shields has an extensive background in the entertainment industry and has held executive positions at Warner Bros Records, Atlantic Records and Dreamworks Records.   As a consultant, she has worked in the health, sports and business fields.  Among her many duties, she handles marketing campaigns, consumer promotions, event and conference production, budget & timeline supervision. 

Ray Shields has served in the capacity of artist manager, studio owner, executive producer and tour manager. He has coordinated and managed international concert tours for various artists, produced numerous benefit concerts, consulted on music soundtracks and co-produced music videos.

 

The Marketing Division  handles the conception and implementation of marketing plans, including the development and management of the budget.


We create a detailed, customized plan and timeline for each project that comprises the ideas of the team members. We also work on opportunities for corporate clients who are interested in developing relationships with entertainment properties, through event marketing, sponsorships or partnerships.  An integral part of the marketing plan is Publicity and we can provide the services of a publicist to handle the media strategy. 

Recent projects include the launch of the South Los Angeles Patient Navigation and Wellness Center, designed for cancer patients, survivors and caregivers.  We were also on the production team for a 3-day music festival on Martha’s Vineyard to fund Kidney Disease Research at Rambam Hospital in Israel, the Genius Talks for the BET Experience Weekend at LA Live and the Women’s Leadership Forum conference.  We produced a football camp for the Train Like A Pro Football Camp, the StarQuest Stage at the Taste Of Soul Festival in LA and the Living Legends Foundation Awards Gala.

 

The Production Division   handles the administrative coordination of the project – budgeting, coordination of the event, recording sessions, video or film shoots, retaining production staff and vendors, processing of appropriate paperwork, tour management and live performance staging. 


Cause-related marketing enables the client to integrate their marketing campaigns with social issues that are important to their company and their consumer. We work with you to determine the appropriate partnerships and the long-range implications of those strategic relationships.  We create the campaigns, promotions and events that reinforce your social responsibility message.
