Raymond A Shields II, is the founder & Managing Partner of multi-service entertainment company, Black Dot LLC. In addition to artist management, marketing and new business development, Mr. Shields is involved in the development of a web-based content aggregation and distribution company and a low-cost fiber-based IP provider service.  He was a member of the Board of Trustees of Watts Labor Community Action Committee (WLCAC) , served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Black Parenting and is currently on the Board of Directors of The Center for Community and Family Services (CCAFS).

 

A Los Angeles native, Mr. Shields attended Northwestern University in Evanston, IL and the University of California at Riverside. He started his music career producing music for children. He has served in the capacity of artist manager, studio owner, executive producer and tour manager. He has coordinated and managed international concert tours for various artists, produced numerous benefit concerts, consulted on music soundtracks and participated in the production of music videos. Mr. Shields was a partner in Aire LA Studios from 1989-1995 and had a production logo deal with Atlantic Records called Black Dot Records.  He is a voting member of The Recording Academy, the preeminent arts advocacy and education organization in the country.
